Alhassan Tahiru
Alhassan Tahiru is a researcher with a background in conflict, peace studies, and international relations. He holds a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Social Sciences University of Ankara , Turkey, and a second Masters in Peace Research and International Relations at the University of Tubingen, Germany. He obtained his bachelor's degree from the University for Development Studies, Ghana.
In addition to his academic pursuit, Alhassan has an advanced diploma in Islamic Studies from Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee, Scotland. During his studies, he worked as a research assistant at the political science institute and the transdisciplinary career service department, both at the University of Tubingen.
His research interests focus on communal conflicts, peacebuilding, terrorism, and violent extremism. His current research examines the intersectionality between localized conflicts, terrorism, and violent extremism.
He’s fluent in English, Turkish and German.
