Fakhat Seidu is an energetic and motivated young African with a Bachelor's in Political Science and Theatre Arts. Fakhat has developed a deep passion for international relations throughout her academic journey, particularly diplomacy. She is committed to fostering positive relationships between nations to promote peace and collaboration in global affairs.

In her role as Executive Coordinator of ANeCS, Fakhat draws upon her rich leadership and organizational experiences to advance the network's mission of promoting decolonial and alternative perspectives on security and governance across Africa. Her tenure as Vice President of the Ghana Muslim Students Association (2023/2024 academic year) showcased her ability to lead diverse teams and champion inclusive dialogue among various stakeholders. Fakhat’s involvement in AIESEC, where she held leadership roles in both partnership development and logistics, provided her with hands-on experience in coordinating large-scale international events, fostering cross-cultural collaboration, and engaging with global networks.

Her work with AIESEC in the UAE in contributing to the planning of their International Leadership Conference further enriched her international outlook. Fakhat’s ability to navigate complex logistical challenges, along with her passion for diplomacy and international cooperation, positions her well to support the management and coordination of the diverse activities of ANeCS.

In her capacity as Executive Coordinator, Fakhat is dedicated to amplifying the voices of critical security scholars across Africa, promoting rigorous research, and fostering collaboration among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. She is passionate about using her skills to help shape new, innovative frameworks for understanding and addressing Africa's security challenges through a decolonial lens. Her commitment to fostering dialogue and promoting peace underscores her leadership at ANeCS, as she seeks to create sustainable security solutions rooted in African experiences and perspectives.
