Sherif Heiman Shaban
Sherif Heiman Shaban brings a strong background in organisational management to ANeCS and is committed to participatory leadership and fostering teamwork.
Sherif holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has accumulated extensive experience in program management and leadership roles. He has previously served as the General Manager at Iqra Educational Centre and the Programmes Manager at the Zakat and Sadaqa Trust Fund of Ghana. His work in these positions reflects his dedication to community development, accountability, and education.
In his role at ANeCS, Sherif is responsible for our administration department. He sees to the day-to-day coordination of administrative activities and assignments. He also manages volunteer and internship programmes, recruiting and training participants, and ensuring effective integration into the organisation’s activities. His communication, task prioritisation, and team management skills make him an asset to ANeCS's mission of advancing alternative security perspectives in Africa.
Fluent in English and proficient in several local languages, Sherif is also passionate about research, advocacy, and education, as demonstrated through his involvement in founding and co-founding several non-governmental organisations focused on social impact and Islamic finance.
Sherif is a founding member of ANeCS. He is from Ghana, West Africa.
