Wendi Njeri

Wendi Njeri is a final-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, with a concentration in Development Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies, at United States International University–Africa (USIU-A).

She is the founder of Books in Baskets Mini-Libraries, a community-based organization aimed at improving access to books and cultivating early reading cultures among children in underserved communities. Through this initiative, she has developed experience in program design, community engagement, and impact-oriented leadership, reflecting her belief that effective development must be carried out with communities rather than for them.

Wendi is a critical thinker who uses a decolonial Afrocentric perspective to explore research interests in development policy, environmental governance, and institutional effectiveness within the African context.
